Rap is a popular music genre among today’s high school students. Out of all of the rap albums that were released in 2013, there was a lot of discussion about which album is the best.
Some albums are from seasoned artists such as Drake and Kanye West, as well as newcomers like Chance the Rapper and Danny Brown.
Nothing Was the Same was released on Sep. 24, 2013, by Drake and Cash Money Records, Inc. Nothing Was the Same is a big and bold album that shows Drake’s many styles in his type of music.
Acid Rap was self-released on April 30, 2013, by Chance the Rapper. Acid Rap is a coming-out party for Chance the Rapper, and it put this artist on the national stage.
Born Sinner was released on June 14, 2013, by J. Cole and Roc Nation LLC. Born Sinner is a laid-back, traditional rap album that is widely recognized as an album that will last for a long time.
Yeezus was released on June 18, 2013, by Kanye West and Def Jam Recordings. Yeezus is a heavy, aggressive album that shows West’s originality and uniqueness.
Watching Movies With the Sound Off was released on June 18, 2013, by Mac Miller and Rostrum Records. Watching Movies With the Sound Off is a mellow and diverse album that true fans love to listen to.
Stay Trippy was released on August 23, 2013, by Juicy J and Kemosabe Records/ Columbia Records. Stay Trippy is an album that brings people together and is Juicy J’s first album in four years.
Trap Lord was released on Aug. 16, 2013, by A$AP Ferg and RCA Records. Trap Lord was A$AP Ferg’s first major album release and is a crazy and loud album.
Because the Internet was released on December 3, 2013, by Childish Gambino and Glassnote Entertainment Group LLC. Because the Internet is another diverse and original album that people love to listen to.
Hall of Fame was released on August 27, 2013, by Big Sean and Getting Out Our Dreams, Inc/The Island Def Jam Music Group. Hall of Fame was a big surprise to many, and it exceeded many listeners’ expectations.
Old was released on October 8, 2013, by Danny Brown and Fool’s Gold Records. Old is a loud and wild album that is widely regarded as one of the best albums of the year.
Throughout the dozens of reviews and the endless critiques about these albums that have appeared, Yeezus has stood out as the best album of 2013. Both fans and critics love its loud, modern and unique style that Kanye West released.
